Nihad Tule is a DJ/Producer who likes to wear many hats, as solo artist (Nihad as well as Velež) and as part of collaborative projects Taken (with Elias Landberg) and NTTR-909 with Roseen (with a recent release on Tar Hallow). They’re all techno but each with a distinct flavour. The key ingredient they share is an unvacillating curiosity that typically has him experiment with his collection of hardware and allow himself to channel whatever weird sequences the moment provides. Much like his work behind decks, his sound is tailored for long-haul raving: a maverick mix of frugal bleeps and layer upon layer of rhythmic passion. His self-run label Sloboda is the place to look for the aforementioned. And here comes another. Bassiani Podcast 193 is all gas, no brakes. A turbocharged 75 minute techno paean from this long-serving clubland doyen.
