Deluka – Bassiani Podcast 214 Tracklist
Deluka is the Naples-born/Berlin based name behind Friedrichshain record store and label No Signal Records. With roots as an eager acolyte of the much fêted rhythms of the American Midwest, he switched house for techno and got to work at an early age. It was 2011 when he made it to Berlin, and not long before he started playing venues like Tresor’s little brother OHM. A few years later he started No Signal with the release of his deeply atmospheric EP ‘Echoes’ (2021), and followed it up with another eight, a mixture of his and other artists’ work. Driven by a profound passion for his craft, his productions and performances are a throbbing, fully immersive protocol that holds attention in its iron grip. Endlessly experimenting and refining, his reputation as master music maker has spread like a prairie fire throughout the world of techno, not least of which due to releases on labels like AMOTIK+, KSR and Future Architecture (including his most recent ‘Heroes’ EP – May 8th). Think sparsely populated soundscapes, minimal but groovy peak-time fare. For Bassiani Podcast 214 he lands another formidable blow with just over three hours of circling drones and heavily resonating beats; bare-bones techno that compels and entrances, pays homage to the sounds that made him and remains unpredictable in its innovative sleight of hand.
