Deepicnic Podcast 530 – Tav Shvi Tracklist

The guest in this episode is a Bogota-based artist, Tav Shvi. He is focused on creating rhythms and sonic introspection, his inspiration comes from crafting atmospheres using electronic instruments in favor of the dance floor.

His exploration spans from ambient landscapes to raw movement, incorporating elements from the groove of the 2000s and modular synthesis. In his sets, he aims to establish tension and release through a dialogue from start to finish, whether in DJ or Live Dawless format. The latter is his favorite, focusing on complete improvisation with elements produced in the studio, generating spontaneity and a truly unique experience in each performance.

With a musical project spanning around 7 years and undergoing two a.k.a (Mig. and later Tav Shvi), he has been heard and praised by key figures in the global scene such as the Open Source collective (Emmanuel, ARTS) and Collective Details (A Thousand Details, Portugal). This recognition has provided him with the opportunity to sign significant singles and a remix for MTD (Methodical, Italy). On a local level, he has releases on Older Records and Sináptica.

He collaborates with Analog Vice Records and has been a music production instructor in the city’s most established academies. He has had the opportunity to play DJ sets and hybrids at venues like Eliptica (Cali), Bunker (Ibagué), and the now-closed Klan 31 and Vagabond (Bogotá), among others.
