Juliet Mendoza, an Afro-Latina artist from Los Angeles, has been immersed in music her entire life, drawing early inspiration from her mother’s love for disco. Starting dance classes at the age of five, she discovered her passion for House music in the mid-90s, becoming a staple in LA’s underground club scene.
From dancer to promoter, Juliet organized major festivals with “Go Ventures” before dedicating herself to cultivating LA’s dance community as a Core Member of “Open House.” Her evolution led her to the decks, where she has shared stages with globally renowned DJs and headlined prestigious events worldwide.
Juliet’s impressive résumé includes performances at major US events like Coachella, Insomniac festivals, and Expo NYC. She has shared the stage with legends like Hot Since 82, Riva Starr, Peggy Gou, and DJ Sneak, among others. Known for her distinctive blend of melodic, soulful, and deep sounds, Juliet has captivated audiences internationally, playing in iconic cities like Amsterdam, Paris, and Mexico City.
Beyond her performances, Juliet is a cornerstone of LA’s House music culture, holding residencies at celebrated nights such as “Thick,” “Open House,” and “Jill’s House” (formerly Jackin Jills). Her dedication to the genre has earned her accolades, including the Unsung Hero award from Defected Records and recognition as a Beatport brand ambassador, solidifying her role as a global ambassador for the vibrant House music movement.
Outside of her music career, Juliet Mendoza is a passionate educator at the prestigious iO Academy music school, where she shares her expertise and inspires the next generation of artists. With upcoming releases on her own record label, Spiritual Systems, as well as collaborations with D’eaupe and Snatch, Juliet continues to push the boundaries of House music.
