Legend has it that Cord Labuhn fell in love with DJing in 1999 – right after drums, strings and keys had opened doors to his musical mind from early age on. Since 2003 in Berlins school of hard knocks he produced more than a 100 records and remixes, pressed a ton of vinyl and is nowadays collecting some 180 million streams from 20 million global listeners counting since streaming became a thing.
In the last decade he has been playing shows in more than 65 countries on almost every continent – sorry Antarctica.
Cords trademark works appear either on his own boutique labels like OUTTAKES (music and clothing) and PUNCHI (the towelscarf he once invented), while his most popular productions are found on Defected Records, Armada Subjekt, Stil vor Talent, Diynamic, Snatch! (Brockwild), Get Physical, Toolroom, Nervous Records, Kittball Records, Mother Recordings to just drop a few names.
When Covid shook the world and the entertainment business stood still Cord has put his focus on his Kreuzberg neighborhood and Berlin community as he teamed up with non-profit TURNING TABLES GERMANY to orchestrate the KINDER VOM KOTTI project which supports children and youth in their creative ventures and musical aspirations.
